UNLIMITED AND UNCOMPROMISING We're not crazy about the word "gravel." We love riding on it, but we don't like the way the cycling industry acts like it's a new sport. We prefer to just call it cycling because we're still riding bikes, we're still working up a sweat, we're still having fun and we're still beating up on our friends. INDOOR TRAINING NEVER LOOKED THIS GOOD We made this jersey for the rigors of indoor training. The 3D Mesh fabric allows maximum airflow for cooling while the 100% polyester content means it provides maximum moisture wicking. We made it on the limit of not being too transparent in case you want to wear it for group training sessions, or if you're using it at home and want to take it off after warming up the long zipper means it comes off easy. We put a couple of pockets on the back so you can stash your AirPods or phone or headband or whatever you haul to your training station. We've kept the collar low and the waist short for maximum cooling. Prologue or Pro Logo The Prologo name is Italian for "prologue," the opening salvo in a Grand Tour. But many of our customers pronounce it like "Pro Logo." And we don't mind at all. The Prologo Jersey, now in its sixth generation, does feature a big logo, but more than that it brings a lot of tech directly from our experience with pro racing. The fabric is remarkably soft yet stretchy and features bioceramic nanoparticles added to the fused polymer, which reflect far infrared light to both protect you from hot sun and help the body keep itself warm. The construction also borrows a lot of cues from pro racing: the same drop-tail construction that helps the jersey sit right around the waist while allowing generous pockets that sit lower on the back, the wraparound side panels that ventilate the back without letting in too much air from the front, and the easy-sliding YKK Vislon zipper. Don't Limit Yourself We made this short to meet Castelli's high standards for comfort and performance in a cycling short while adding a few extra features that come in handy for riding on any surface. You'll find our normal exceptional fit as well as the KISS Air2 seat pad, which provides generous anatomically placed padding with an exceptionally soft top layer. What makes this short special is the extremely durable Unlimited Lycra fabric. It has higher abrasion resistance and tear resistance while not compromising on stretch, moisture management or comfort. In addition, we use double-layer side panels for the old track rider's trick of fabric-sliding-on-fabric should you fall. This short isn't really meant to be indestructible, but it significantly increases the chances that sliding out on gravel will mean you need to just brush yourself off rather than having to buy a new pair of shorts. That second layer on the side panel also makes for convenient side pockets, with a flap over the top to prevent the contents from falling out. The name velocissima means "very fast" in Italian, and indeed there's a lot of speed in this jersey, even though it wasn't designed as a race jersey. It brings together three different fabrics for fit as well as comfort. The main jersey fabric is a soft 100% polyester micromesh with Castelli's prosecco wicking treatment to keep you dry. Side panels are in a stretch mesh for ventilation and improved fit. The sleeves are lifted directly from Castelli's pro race jersey, but in this case because the four-way-stretch fabric with raw-cut sleeve endings is as comfortable as it is aerodynamic. The velocissima jersey is not lacking in technical details, but it was also designed to look good. The fabrics are piece-dyed for rich color, and then they get a sublimated overprint for the tone-on-tone graphic over the shoulders. We reached for a stretch woven fabric that gives great stretch but in an unbelievably lightweight yet durable fabric. We gave it a DWR finish so mud and water roll-off. We gave the short two top-opening pockets like jeans so that whatever you put in there won't fall out. We made the cut fairly close to the body so you look good off the bike but the short doesn't balloon out when you're on the bike. It all just kinda disappears. The short doesn't have its own seat pad, so wear this over your favorite Castelli short. The Superleggera is a good choice for warmer weather, or the Unlimited if you want the extra pockets.
